UNDERMOUNT OR DROP IN?: Our answer to that is “it depends”. While we love the look of undermount sinks because they showcase our stone surfaces so well, it is true that they leave the most vulnerable spot exposed. While stone countertops are incredibly durable, chipping  happens most often at cut edges and corners, so that’s important to take into consideration. Drop-in sinks protect the edges, but with that style of sink, you lose the clean, unobscured surface that undermount sinks provide.
