OFFICE ASSISTANT

The Solid Stone team is built on hard work, honesty and innovation as we strive for excellence in customer service. With that in mind, we are currently looking for an organized and personable candidate for our Office Assistant position.

Our Office Assistant is responsible for supporting our sales and scheduling staff, preparing paperwork and weekly department reports, greeting customers both over the phone and in our showroom and connecting them with a salesperson, handling customer service inquiries and maintaining organization in the office and showroom.

A successful candidate would have a high school diploma (or equivalent), display excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software, and have the ability to multi-task. Some previous experience in an office assistant position is an asset.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Solid Stone Countertops is seeking an energetic and outgoing sales person to join our team. This is a full-time, commission-based position for retail and business to business sales which consists of visiting existing and potential customers and opening new accounts. Individuals in this position are committed to providing an exceptional level of customer service and have a strong desire to play an integral role in the growth of Solid Stone. Consistent professionalism with strong communication and organizational skills will provide you with a very successful career with us. Previous experience in business to business sales working with developers, architects, designers and builders is considered an asset.

Duties include (but are not limited to): generating new business and effecting on-boarding of new clients; working in our showroom and assisting walk-in customers with selections and purchases (Saturdays on rotation); managing and maintaining profitable margins and keeping accurate records; and building strong relationships with clients and prospective clients.

A successful candidate is a self-starter, driven, positive, personable and a team-player. Organization skills, computer fluency, and a good eye for colour and design are essential.

SCHEDULER

Organization, Prioritization and Optimization. If those are your skills, Solid Stone is looking for you.

We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working and reliable person to fill this full-time position. An outstanding Scheduler must have a good knowledge of scheduling activities in a production environment with exceptional organizational, computer, and communication skills.  These skills will be useful for managing product delivery to clients, creating weekly or routine master schedules, meeting production goals, deadlines and customer needs. 

Requirements for a successful candidate include: a good working knowledge of scheduling activities in a production environment; strong interpersonal and proven time-management skills; adaptability, flexibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel Spreadsheet applications;  and excellent written and verbal communication skills
